You can choose from three separate packages that we have put together for the best value and maximum riding. Or we can offer a budget package to still include quality time with horses but somewhat shorter. For the older children (8 to 12 years old) they really want more time on a horse.
3 Birthday Party Plans
Wish upon a Horse: This plan is best for your six and under children. They will ride horses or ponies for 45 minutes (up to 8 in the arena at one time.) They will play age appropriate games on horseback. If additional riders, we will split the group with half riding, half learning to catch, lead and groom horses. All children will have hands on time with horses. Each rider will have a handler. Children younger than 3 will also need sidewalkers. Cost $70 per rider. Minimum charge $350. Parents come free. Cottage and picnic area including barbecue is $100 extra. Relax and enjoy our ranch with views of park and Mt. Diablo.
Let's Go Riding! This plan is designed to give the 8 and older child a chance to learn basic riding skills and still play games on horseback. Upon arrival guests will learn how to mount and dismount on our mechanical horse, Rocky. After this they will spend a full hour on horseback that Includes introduction to the trot (with handler at side) If you have any experienced riders they will be allowed to ride on their own. (up to 8 in the arena at one time for one hour.) They will play age appropriate games on horseback. If additional riders, we will split the group with half riding, half learning to catch, lead and groom horses. All children will have hands on time with horses. Cost $75 per rider. Minimum charge $375. Parents come free. Cottage and picnic area including barbecue is $100 extra. Relax and enjoy our ranch with views of park and Mt. Diablo.
I Love Horses! All of the features of "Let's Go Riding" with the additional feature of Painting Ponies. Children will paint our patient horses with facepaint (non toxic, washable) and they will win a prize for the winning team who paints the most creative pictures. This plan takes 1 1/2 hours and costs $80 per rider. Minimum charge: $400.

Additional plans offered for larger groups: $35 per rider for a one hour ride experience. Suitable for 12-15 kids. They are separated into groups of 5 each. Each ride on horseback for 12 minutes while other groups learn about grooming, catching, leading, mounting and horse safety. Groups rotate until all have experienced each station.

We, at Castle Rock Arabians want this birthday moment to hold all the magic that makes dreams come true. Yes, wishes really come do come true at our storybook farm. Our five ponies and 15 horses are veterans of such events and they actually enjoy the feel of small hands grooming them.
